"Come in, sit down and relax. Soon, I'll be greeting you by name. Meantime, have a cup of coffee-and a doughnut. Watch some TV, surf the net, read today's newspaper or just look around. Your cutter will be with your shortly."

That's what you'll experience when you come through the door of my shop... and that's just the beginning. My lifetime of experience in the hair cutting and styling industry has shown one thing to be true over and over again: The customer is indeed, the most important part of the business and the most important thing to the customer is getting what he wants and having his grooming needs met.

Before I go any further, let me introduce myself. I'm Uncle Phil and I'd like to welcome you to a place where the customer comes first. A place where you will be treated as a special person - a unique individual with unique grooming needs and requirements. A place where you will have those needs met.

As I looked around, I saw old fashioned service becoming almost extinct. With so many factory-style hair salon chains, it becomes confusing as to which one your're actually in. These mostly unisex, mostly national franchises are in business to make large volumes of money. They must process a large volume of people in order to meet that goal. The individual, with his individual needs, get lost in a sea of customers, cutters and mirrors where, to the cutters' eye, we all begin to look the same; and we get the more-or-less standard haircut and treatment- no matter what we want or ask for.

All that changed when Uncle Phil's opened. Old fashioned service is alive and well. Every customer who enters my shop immediately has an Uncle in the business - and he gets treated as such. Every customers gets personal service, whether he comes in for a quick "Tune-Up" or a complete hair and grooming service. He knows that he can discuss his individual needs on a one-to-one basis with his regular cutter or, of course, directly with me. An area is set aside for these private consultations.

All the nice people that work for me are skilled in the art of service to the customer. Whether it's your cutter, Meyer, Alex, Armen, Joe or Customer Service Rep Tara, you will always be able to discuss your grooming needs and get old fashioned, personal service. - That's my promise to you.

In the relaxed atmosphere of Uncle Phil's, every customer is known as a GUY. For example:

is a man under 62 who works hard each day and has to look his best for the business world he is in. Regular and maintenance visits keep him looking his best.

is over 62 and has probably worked hard all his life. Now he wants that old fashioned grooming service he remembers. When he sits down in one of Uncle Phil's chairs he almost feels as if he's been coming here most of his life.

who is between 5 and 12 is just starting to become aware of his grooming needs. He may want some help with choosing the right look and we make it easy for him to talk to us.

is under 5 and may even be getting his first haircut. His Parents, of course, want the experience to be pleasant. We can show him that this is a special place where he feels comfortable. ( A Little Guy's first haircut includes a First Haircut Certificate.)

is actively serving in one of the armed forces or is serving in an organization such as the Peace Corps. This GUY proudly serves our Country and deserves recognition.

who sacrifices his time and puts himself at risk to help others in a time of desperate need, with no personal compensation, deserves equal recognition.

concept eliminates the problems with appointments. Just call and say you want to be the NEXT GUY. When you arrive, you will be served as soon as your cutter is done with the current haircut.

Uncle Phil's world of good old fashion customer service is uniquely complemented the latest in computer technology. This helps to provide better, more personalized service each and every guy.

If you have not yet made a visit to Uncle Phil's you should. See what SERVICE is all about. You won't be disappointed. If you've been here before, I hope to see you again...

Thank you,
